I paint in vivid colors
to fight off the grey.

A tuning fork for a solarpunk frequency — soft, sunlit, and stubbornly hopeful. Tune in with me.

bonjour!
What's this all about

Hi, I'm Laura Riondet.

I paint from a tiny sunlit corner of my kitchen in Vancouver, chasing the colors most people hurry past — the green in an iris, the gold on a wave, the impossible pinks of a good sky.

Every canvas is a small act of resistance against grey cynicism: a tuning fork for a solarpunk future I'd love to pull us all toward. If it makes you feel more alive, it's working.

Watch the color come alive

The process, from blank canvas to buzzing.

Timelapses filmed from my tiny kitchen studio. Layers, mistakes, and the moment a painting finally hums.

Values

With love from Vancouver

Inspired by the stunning nature of British Columbia, I make the most out of the rare sunny days and share my love for the world, nature, and life by painting from a tiny corner in my kitchen.

Printed locally

I work with a local printer in my neighborhood to ensure the best quality and support my local economy.

Paper over plastic

Running on a solarpunk engine, I do my best to move toward sustainability in my practice — through the materials I use to paint, package, and ship, favoring paper over plastic whenever I can.

International shipping

I package and ship everything myself. Expect 3 days domestic, 5 days to the US, and 15 days internationally.
